I am Anshu Shrivastava from Delhi, India.
Before I start off, I would like to say that this is no ordinary blog. People start blogs for various reasons. Some have stories to share, others recipes. Some people have the knowledge to share while others start one because they think it’s cool. Today, I, Anshu Shrivastava, want to share my life with you. This is my story in a nutshell. My life, my experiences and most importantly, an ode to all the selfless yet powerful mothers, caring wives and beautiful daughters.
To delve deeper into the details and to elucidate my purpose of starting this blog, I will have to break it down into two parts. My first motivation to start this blog was to let the world know about and understand the power of women through the powerful female protagonist in my first novel, ‘Ajita’. This humble attempt is dedicated to the powerful entity of women in India, brought out through the selfless actions and sacrifices of ‘Ajita. I sincerely hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed penning it down.
Secondly, I wanted to share my thoughts on ‘positivity’ and how we can implement it in our daily lives and bring about a change in how we look at the world. Your thoughts are welcome and I would love to hear what you think about the same. Ever since I was a kid, I have seen a lot of sadness, illness and troubles around me. But I also realized very early on that the key to overcoming such circumstances and the key to happiness, lies in fact with you! In your thinking and your attitude! Through my blogs, I aim at sharing my experiences, which have convinced me to believe in this theory and to spread some positivity and light with you all.
So what brought you to this blog? Was it by chance? Even if it wasn’t, we are not strangers anymore, because you’ve made it this far. If you scroll a little further, you’ll learn a few more things about who I am and what I do:
I am happily married and I have two gems; my sons. After completing my post graduation in Science, I was married into my husband’s family very early on. Contrary to popular belief, an early marriage did not stop me from pursuing my dreams. I went on to establish a preparatory school and also joined our family owned Investment Banking Boutique. I am currently working on the same.
I have another side to me. The warm, homemaker-cum-motherly side. Outside of work, I can be a typical homemaker who loves her family oriented responsibilities and dotes on her sons. The family has and will always be the top priority for me, a quality that I have imbibed from mother and my mother-in-law. They have both been true inspirations!
